EcoBus Summer Camp is for children who love the outdoors, are excited about the environment, and are ready to be leaders in their community!  The focus of EcoBus  is to get campers outdoors in their local green spaces learning about the environment and making new friends.  Through hands on activities your child will explore ways to live sustainably, work with new technologies, and develop teamwork skills.  Our staff are certified outdoor educators with decades of combined teaching experience.  Our campers can look forward to swimming, biking, hiking, and spending time in nature.
Join the EcoBus on the journey towards a sustainable planet!

We will be returning in July 2017 with all new camp programs including Leadership Camp for older campers ages 13-16, where they will receive leadership training, develop employability skills and outdoor skills, and work with other camp programs towards high school volunteer hours.  We are also working on French EcoBus Summer Camp.  We hope you will join us!

gemmaHello Everyone! My name is Gemma and I have been working as an outdoor educator for almost 8 years.  I started out as an overnight counselor at a wonderful place called Camp Kawartha. Over 6 summers, I worked my way through many positions until I became the Trip Director. Last year, I took all of my skills out west to Vancouver Island, where I worked as an Outdoor Instructor at Strathcona Park Lodge.
I am presently finishing up my fourth year at Lakehead University in the Outdoor Recreation, Parks and Tourism program, and next year will be completing my Education training. One of my favorite parts about going to Lakehead is discovering all of the beauty that Thunder Bay has to offer and truly experiencing such an incredible environment and community.
I take pride in living an eco-friendly lifestyle.  From eating locally, to walking as much as possible and conserving energy, I am eager to share my knowledge and passion in Thunder Bay this summer.

kaliHello! My name is Kali and I am an Outdoor Recreation Graduate from Lakehead University. I have been working with kids almost my whole life as a camp counsellor, canoe tipper and outdoor educator.  I absolutely love it! I am an outdoor enthusiast who loves being active and spending time in nature.
I am super excited to be a counsellor at EcoLinks this summer because I will get to share my passion for the environment with our campers and have fun all day outside! I have travelled to many places around the world and enjoy going on adventures everywhere I visit.
Thunder Bay has so much to offer and I love exploring all the spectacular natural spaces here. One of my favourite places to go is Centennial Park and I could not be more excited that EcoLinks will be there all summer!
Throughout my daily life I try to be as green as possible. I walk and bus everywhere I go, try and reduce my water and energy consumption and love making crafts out of recyclable materials. I can’t wait to spend an awesome and sustainable summer with our campers at EcoLinks!
